Combiflam

It is a combination of two drugs which is used to relief the pain associated with headache, toothaches, back pains, muscle pains, menstrual cycle and also used to temporarily relief from fever.

Composition of combiflam

This medication is the combination of two drugs :-----
1.) ibuprofen =====>400 mg
2.) Paracetamol ======>325 mg

Dosage of Combiflam


★ For an adult★
====>0.5 - 1 gm during one dose
====>Gap between two dosages should be of 4 - 6 hrs
====>Not more than 5 dosages in a day

★ For a child of 1 years old ★
====>60 - 120 mg during one dose
====>Gap between two dosages should be of 4 - 6 hrs
====>Not more than 4 dosages in a day

★ For a child of 1 - 5 years old ★
====>120 - 250 mg during one dose
====>Gap between two dosages should be of 4 - 6 hrs
====>Not more than 4 dosages in a day

★ For a child of 6 - 12 years old ★
====>250 - 500 mg during one dose
====>Gap between two dosages should be of 4 - 6 hrs
====>Not more than 4 dosages in a day


Precaution

1.) Don't take this medication if you have allergic reactions from this tablet.
2.) Don't take it if you have asthma attacks.
3.) Don't take it if there is stomach bleeding or stomach/intestinal ulcers.
4.) Don't take it if you suffer from heart failure and breathing problem.


Interaction of Combiflam with other drugs and products

There are so many drugs, alcoholic beverages and products which interact this medication and it's interaction depends on the medical history of person to person.

Side effects of Combiflam

Before taking this medication inform your doctors/pharmacists about your medical  history and allergic reactions to avoid side effects.

★ Abdominal discomfort

Mode of action of Combiflam in our body

It works on our brain which reduces the pain, swelling and lowers the body temperature.
When we take this medication tablet, it restricts the effects of an enzyme called COX (Cyclooxygenase). This enzyme is responsible for the production of Prostaglandin which causing pain and redness at the site of injury in our body.
If COX production is restricted by Combiflam then this results in the lowering the production of Prostaglandins.
Reduction of Prostaglandins results the relief from pains and increases the blood flow across our skin due to which heat loss and our body sweating out and body temperature goes down and we feel relief from pain, swelling and fever too.


When should we not take this medication?

If we are suffer from the following diseases then we should not take this medication.

-----Coronary Artery Bypass Surgery
-----Peptic ulcer
-----Blood disorder
-----Liver disorder


Overdose

If someone has taken overdose of Combiflam and have symptoms of overdose like Vomiting, Nausea, headache etc. Then go to the Accident and emergency department as soon as possible.
